Identitat de marca per a Left of the Equator Press<\/h1>\n\n\n

Left of the Equator<\/strong><\/a> publica llibres des d'Aotearoa per a un m\u00f3n m\u00e9s enll\u00e0 del capitalisme i el colonialisme. Alguns dels seus t\u00edtols inclouen Kia Mau: Resistint les ficcions colonials<\/em> de Tina Ngata, El dia que van arribar les batudes: hist\u00f2ries de superviv\u00e8ncia i resist\u00e8ncia a les batudes terroristes de l'Estat<\/em> editada per Valerie Morse, i Jueu, No Sionista<\/em> de Marilyn Garson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Left of the Equator era un nou projecte editorial i necessitava un logotip \u2013 per apar\u00e8ixer als llibres, al lloc web i principalment a les xarxes socials. \n\nLes persones que hi ha darrere de Left of the Equator van compartir amb mi idees sobre el simbolisme que volien incloure en la imatge de marca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un concepte clau era \u00abla vida que persisteix en les esquerdes\u00bb, simbolitzada per plantes aut\u00f2ctones que s\u00f3n supervivents resistents o que actuen com a plantes de viver. Un altre concepte era la idea d'internacionalisme i solidaritat, els fils comuns de just\u00edcia i sostenibilitat que ens uneixen a tots al planeta Terra. En general, l'objectiu era comunicar resili\u00e8ncia, esperan\u00e7a i emerg\u00e8ncia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volien un logotip cl\u00e0ssic i durador que evit\u00e8s els clix\u00e9s anarquistes del punk rock, alguna cosa m\u00e9s antiga i depurada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vaig esbossar diverses idees combinant el globus i diferents plantes locals per crear alguna cosa que sembl\u00e9s una bola de terra amb un planter creixent-hi, i\/o una imatge caricaturesca d'una bomba rodona amb un \"f\u00fas\" de planta. La meva idea era fer una refer\u00e8ncia subtil a l'\"espurna\" de les idees revolucion\u00e0ries contingudes en els llibres i als conceptes dels llibres com a llavors d'un m\u00f3n nou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Els meus clients volien tirar endavant amb l'opci\u00f3 de la planta de m\u0101nuka, combinada amb una tipografia sans serif cl\u00e0ssica. Vaig continuar desenvolupant el disseny, escollint la tipografia Inter Bold i afinant els detalls i la forma global del logotip. Les flors distintives es van exagera en mida per fer que la planta espec\u00edfica fos m\u00e9s reconeixible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

M\u0101nuka \u00e9s una planta prol\u00edfica i \u00e0mpliament reconeguda a Aotearoa, coneguda per les seves nombroses propietats curatives i medicinals. La manuka crea entorns on altres esp\u00e8cies aut\u00f2ctones poden establir-se amb m\u00e9s \u00e8xit. Per aquest motiu, sovint s'utilitza en projectes de restauraci\u00f3 de boscos aut\u00f2ctons a Nova Zelanda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
