Antifascist Aotearoa me invit\u00f3 a dise\u00f1ar una versi\u00f3n del cl\u00e1sico gr\u00e1fico de las banderas antifa, adaptada a Aotearoa con la emblem\u00e1tica bandera de Tino Rangatiratanga, un s\u00edmbolo muy popular del movimiento por la autodeterminaci\u00f3n maor\u00ed en Aotearoa, Nueva Zelanda. Antifascist Aotearoa contaba con el permiso y el benepl\u00e1cito de la \u00faltima dise\u00f1adora viva de la bandera, Linda Munn, para utilizar este dise\u00f1o emblem\u00e1tico. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Para m\u00ed fue un gran honor, ya que la bandera es una pieza muy importante y significativa de la historia reciente de Aotearoa. Hiraina Marsden cre\u00f3 el dise\u00f1o original, que posteriormente fue cosido por Jan Smith y Linda Munn. La bandera se present\u00f3 al p\u00fablico por primera vez el 6 de febrero de 1990, D\u00eda de Waitangi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El negro representa a Te Kore (el vac\u00edo), el espacio m\u00e1s all\u00e1 del mundo de la experiencia cotidiana. El blanco representa a Te Ao Marama, el mundo de la luz. El rojo representa el nacimiento y la vida, as\u00ed como a Papat\u016b\u0101nuku, la madre tierra. El koru (espiral que simboliza una fronda de helecho que se despliega) en el centro sugiere el desarrollo y la renovaci\u00f3n de la vida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Antifascista Aotearoa es una red nacional de antifascistas de toda Aotearoa, Nueva Zelanda. Quer\u00edan crear una versi\u00f3n local del cl\u00e1sico dise\u00f1o de la bandera antifa, que relacionara el fascismo con el colonialismo y fuera exclusivo de Aotearoa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

En concreto, quer\u00edan utilizar el dise\u00f1o para pegatinas y camisetas, pero es probable que tenga un uso m\u00e1s amplio en el futuro. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Puse mucho cuidado en adaptar la bandera de Tino Rangatiratanga al dise\u00f1o, sin distorsionar ni alterar en exceso su dise\u00f1o original. Me llev\u00f3 bastante tiempo, pero para m\u00ed era importante tratar el material original con el respeto que se merece. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
