my design process
1. research
My design process starts with solid market research and a deep dive into your project, goals and needs.
By getting to know you and what you’re about, I ensure every design decision aligns with your values and vision.
2. creation
Next it’s time to convert all the research into concept designs. I start by sketching and then digitise the best ideas.
I’ll meet with you to share the different options and recommend which direction we take. At this point I’ll get your feedback and incorporate it into the next step.
3. delivery
After developing and refining the chosen concept idea into its final form, I’ll send it to you as a final draft. Usually no more changes are needed, but there’s still time for any desired tweaks at this stage.
Once the design is ready and signed off, I’ll prepare and export the final files, and share a folder where you can download everything.
Frequently Asked Questions about my design process
No, I do not use generative AI to create my design work, or to write the text on this website (all typos and errors here are 100% human-made).
When licensing stock images, for example to create a collage illustration, I specifically search for images marked as “not AI”.
If you have any concerns or questions about how I use AI, please contact me!

If your project requires photos or illustrations we have several options. We can use stock imagery (it doesn’t all look corny AF, I’ve got some special sources). I can create illustrations myself if my style matches your brand requirements, or I can recommend you a photographer or illustrator, and collaborate with them on the project.
Tell me about your needs and let’s create something beautiful (and strategic) together!
Yes. I use short, plain-language contracts to make sure we are clear about my role as the designer, your role as the client, and both of our responsibilities in our working relationship.
The contract is also where I confirm all the details of what I will deliver, the timeline, number of revisions etc.
If you have any questions before signing, no sweat! Just ask.
