daily collages

Inspired by Chris Piascik’s daily drawing practise, I’ve started a challenge for myself: Make a collage every day, and publish it online.

Here’s a gallery of all of them in order, updated weekly. If you want a daily collage fix, follow me on Mastodon or Bluesky.

Inside the outline of a dove: a fist holding a scarf with kuffiyeh and Palestine flag designs. In the background an ancient olive tree frames a view of the Palestinian city of Hebron.
14/09/2026 ‘No Peace Without Justice’

A cocktail glass against a background of a starry sky. Inside the cocktail are slices of two planets, a multicoloured galaxy, some ice cubes and a sprig of rosemary.
13/09/2026 ‘Cosmic Cocktail’

A hand holding the handset of a rotary telephone, where the speaker of the phone is, a smiling and shouting mouth with red lipstick appears. There is a gold star piece of glitter on one of the teeth, and on one of the fingernails of the hand. Confetti is suspended in the air in the background.
12/09/2026 ‘Party Line’

Three Monarch butterflies of different sizes on a big block of melting ice.
11/09/2026 ‘Freedom of Movement is Everybody’s Right’

A close up of a person’s eye wide open. Their eyelid and eyelashes are pulled upward. Instead of their iris and pupil, we see the globe of the earth with parts of Africa, Europe and the Americas visible.
10/09/2026 ‘What You Lookin At?’

A portrait of a cat with its tongue sticking out. The cat’s eyes are covered with flowers and there is a colourful jumbled flower arrangement at the bottom of the composition.
09/09/2026 ‘Just Vibin’

A person wearing a suit and bowler hat. Where the face should be there is instead a spiral staircase, viewed from above.
08/09/2026 ‘Downward Spiral’
A giant sun sits on the horizon, bathing the Al-Aqsa mosque and surrounding area with warm pink-orange light. The sun is a half watermelon, with fruit, seeds and rind visible.
06/09/2026 ‘Palestine Will Be Free’

A Black woman therapist wearing a mustard yellow silk shirt and a gas mask sits facing the viewer, holding a laptop. Her eyes, visible through the mask, look warm and friendly.
05/09/2026 ‘The Doctor Will See You Now’

A dog on a surfboard surfing a waterfall, tail wagging and one front paw up in the air like “let’s go faster!”
04/09/2026 ‘Hang In There’

03/09/2026 ‘This Is Fine’

A soft loosely person-shaped silhoutte filled with a sunset over the sea. Collaged outline layers spread out, each one bigger than the last. The different layers show glimpses of the sea and sky in different, soft colours.
02/09/2026 ‘At Rest’

01/09/2026 ‘Art is a Hammer’

A collage of an upturned police van with a smiley flower spraypainted on the side. A large number of luscious flowers and greenery are growing out of the bottom of the vehicle, including two tall sunflowers. The background is a bright blue sky with a few wispy white clouds.
31/08/2026 ‘Imagine a world without police’
A tin robot against a stormy sky. The robot’s belly is a furnace with a book burning inside it. Flames are visible in the robot’s mouth and eyes.
30/08/2026 ‘Fahrenheit 2026’
A vintage orange typewriter with yellowing keys floating in the milkyway. A sheet of paper inserted in the typewriter shows a sunrise with silhouettes of birds flying into the distance.
29/08/2026 ‘The Future Is Unwritten’
A collage showing the New Zealand government building The Beehive turned upside-down and used as a flowerpot, filled with pink roses.
28/08/2026 Here’s the first one!
